During the Easter 2012 celebrations, Sri Swami Vishwananda gave four very special sermons, each more touching than the other, penetrating the depths of our being.

In the current podcast episode we would like to share the final sermon Sri Swami Vishwanananda gave on Easter Sunday, in which he talks about the „Word” that is mentioned in the Gospel, the Light that is present in all men.
Christ came to this world to remind men of their own divinity, their own Divine Light Light that shines in them. Whoever believes in Him, the Light, the “Word”, the Divine Name, will have eternal Life.

His words and even more so his beingness are able to reconnect us – who mostly have grown up in the western part of the world – with our Christian spiritual heritage.

“RESURRECT WITH CHRIST” is available through the Bhakti Shop by sending an email to order@bhaktishop.de. Price: EUR 12 (plus postage).

Mysteries of the Divine Liturgy

On March 3 2012 Sri Swami Vishwananda gave a very special sermon as part of a liturgy, explaining the deeper meaning of receiving the communion

Before Swami talked, we read the following part from the Gospel: John 1:43-51, in which Jesus finds Philip, and then Philip finds Nathael.
The initial part was not recorded properly, so find the transcription upto the point the audio file begins:

“Philip is asking: Who is Jesus? Is he really the Son of God, is he really the Messias for who we are waiting, of who the prophets have spoken? All these doubts are normal, at the beginning of the spiritual path, the path of searching, it’s normal that questions arise, but when questions arise you have to ask for an answer from people who know the answer. You have to ask people who are not deluded themselves. If you are already in illusion through the mind, and you go and ask somebody else who is in illusion, it’s like asking a blind man for the way. Here Nathael is asking Philip, Philip who has not a single doubt that Christ is the Messiah. Well, he didn’t need to say it, cause Christ called him, and said, you proclaimed to me that I am the Son of God, when you were talking under the fig tree…”

The best prayer: Search for Love in everything

In his beautiful Darshan talk (translated simultaneously into German) of 11 November 2011, at the Shree Peetha Nilaya Ashram in Springen, Germany, Sri Swami Vishwananda talks about service & prayer that comes directly from the heart.

He explains that whatever comes directly from the heart is much faster than the mind can comprehend and is answered also directly.
We ought to learn to be centered inside the heart; and learn to perform every action with awareness that we are doing it for the Divine, as a form of prayer. The best prayer is TO SEARCH FOR LOVE IN EVERYTHING. And to serve whoever needs help.

Swami says: "Serve, help wherever you can. Don't think about it. The moment you start thinking about it, it is no longer a help."
